Punta de Mita: A Foodie Paradise
Wow. You are in for quite a treat! Punta Mita is a foodie’s paradise.
Punta de Mita has it all, right here, within a 10 minute walk of the apartment:
- Delicious street food – tacos carts, sidewalk grilled chicken, drive-by bakery
- Authentic Mexican food – home cooked in a family kitchen and served outside countless homes all around the village.
- Incredible beachfront restaurants – Mexican, Seafood, Japanese
- 5-star white tablecloth restaurants with local “celebrity” chefs and gourmet dishes and eclectic wines and cocktails

Casa del Pintor
Directly across the street from the apartment, the local pizza restaurant will delight you. The owner (Ropi), is a local artist/painter whose art decorates all the walls. You can even see his studio tucked in the corner of the restaurant.
Favorite dishes:
- Soup of the day
- Guacamole w/ tortilla chips
- Shrimp in garlic sauce
- Mahi-Mahi in Ropi sauce
- Pizza, of course!
La Pescadora (formerly "The Blue Shrimp")
La Pescadora (formerly “The Blue Shrimp”) is one of the best seafood restaurants we’ve ever tried. It’s a 10 minute walk from the apartment. La Pescadora is part of three restaurants (Mina, Si Sushi) – that are consistently the best in the area.
With exceptional service, incredible food, consistent quality and a beachfront view of the ocean, La Pescadora is the place to go.
Favorites:
- Guacamole, prepared table-side with hand-pressed tortilla chips.
- Classic margarita, on the rocks with hand-squeezed fresh limes.
- Whole red snapper on the grill stuffed with rosemary
- Grilled blue shrimp
- Ceviche
Mina (formerly "Si Senor")
Mina (formerly “Si Senor”) is one of the best Mexican food restaurants in the area. It’s a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Part of three restaurants (La Pescadora, Mina, Si Sushi) – that are consistently the best in the area.
With exceptional service, incredible food, consistent quality and a beachfront view of the ocean, Mina is a must-visit for Mexican food.
